Boating Kansas from Timberhill Lodge
Timberhill Lodge is minutes from Big Hill Lake.
Kansas offers some of the finest water recreation found anywhere. More than 150 lakes, 10,000 stream miles, and 55,000 ponds make the state attractive to boaters of many types. Most of the lakes are well-served by public access facilities and provide excellent opportunities for anglers, swimmers, skiers, sailboaters, powerboaters, canoeists and others.
As the demand for recreational use of Kansas' waters increases, it becomes more important for boaters to be safe, knowledgeable and responsible. All boaters must commit themselves to learning and practicing the fine points of safe watercraft operation, as well as the rules governing boating and other activities on Kansas waters.
Timberhill Lodge is just a stone's throw from Big Hill Lake. The lake is formed inside of 20 square miles of shoreline with 1,240 acres of surface, at normal pool.
You provide the boat, permit/license and all gear needed. We have a trolling boat available for rent.
Big Hill Lake is one of the clearest lakes in Kansas! Access to boat through
private property but must be moved daily.
If you get tired of the "crowds" we have available for rent a paddle boat to be used only on our private 13 acre lake located on this private property.
